What is My Credit?

We are currently beta testing this new feature. My Credit is prepaid credit that you can use to pay for a range of prepaid services. Here’s how you can use My Credit on our different recharge options.

If you are on MyMix or Combo

Buying prepaid Add-ons – buy a prepaid Data Add-on, Talk Add-on, 10 or 50 Countries Add-on whenever you need.

Buying prepaid recharge plans – you can use it to buy a MyMix Prepaid or Combo recharge.

Making calls and sending texts at Pay As You Go rates – My Credit is the inclusion in our Pay As You Go Plus plans, so if you ever run out of calls or texts from your other prepaid recharge or add-ons, when you’re in Australia your My Credit acts as a Pay As You Go Plus plan. If you run out of data inclusions, you can use My Credit to buy data add-ons but will not be able to use it to consume data on a pay-as-you-go basis. Also if the type of call you’re making or message you’re sending isn’t included in your recharge plan or add-on, your My Credit balance can cover it too. Lastly, when you travel to selected countries, you will also be able to use your My Credit for calls, text and data at our roaming rates.

You can keep using your phone at Pay As You Go Plus rates, paying with your My Credit. Also if the type of call you’re making or message you’re sending isn’t included in your recharge plan or add-on, your My Credit balance can cover it too. When you travel to selected countries, you will also be able to use your My Credit for calls, text and data at our roaming rates.

What prepaid plans is My Credit available on?

It’s available on our Pay As You Go Plus and you can also access it while you are using MyMix and Combo recharges. Check out our support page if you need help switching to one of these recharges.

How do I purchase an add-on or prepaid plan using My Credit?

The easiest way to buy add-ons and prepaid plans with My Credit is online through Express Recharge, at myvodafone.com.au or through the My Vodafone app. Remember once you buy an add-on or a recharge with data, you will need to restart your phone in order to start using it.

You can also use your My Credit balance by texting the keyword for the add-on or prepaid plan you’re after to 1511. Check out our support page for the keyword to use.

How do I top up My Credit?

The easiest way to top up your My Credit balance is online using your credit/debit card or PayPal account. You can top up online through Express Recharge, at myvodafone.com.au or through the My Vodafone app.

You can also top up your My Credit by buying a voucher with one of these values and then redeeming it online: $10, $20, $30, $40, $50, $60, $70, $80, $90, $100, $110, $120, $130, $140, $150, $160, $170, $180, $190, $200.

Does My Credit expire?

Yes, your My Credit expires after 365 days. You can rollover unused My Credit (up to a maximum of $1000) by topping up before your expiry date. Bonus Credit may have different expiry dates, always check the terms and conditions to find out how long any Bonus Credit will last.

Why do I get an insufficient funds error when I try to make a purchase?

Check your My Credit balance to make sure you’ve got enough to cover the cost of your purchase.

If you recently topped up your My Credit and are also using your My Credit balance at our Pay As You Go Plus rates, it’s likely that your My Credit balance has since fallen below the cost of what you’re purchasing.

If you don’t have sufficient funds for the purchase, try topping up your My Credit or purchase the add-on/prepaid plan using a credit/debit card or PayPal.

How do I check my balance?

You can check your My Credit balance online at myvodafone.com.au or through the My Vodafone app.

You can also check your balance by sending a blank TXT to 1511 or calling 1512.

What is the difference between My Credit and Bonus Credit?

My Credit generally reflect the amount of real money you’ve exchanged for My Credit, whereas Bonus Credit reflects any My Credit bonuses we’ve applied as a result of a special offer.

Eg. if you topped up with $100 and a 10% top up bonus offer applied, your My Credit balance would be $100 and your Bonus Credit balance would be $10.

Note: Bonus Credit can’t be used to pay for Premium TXT services.

What are the rates when using My Credit on a pay-as-you-go basis?

You’ll be charged the Pay As You Go Plus recharge rates. Data usage will, however, not be possible if your recharge plan was a Combo or a MyMix.
