This support article will give you key information about how to earn and claim Qantas Points on eligible plans. 

How to earn Qantas Points on your plan.

You can earn up to 15,000 Qantas Points when you sign up or upgrade to a Red Global Plan or 12 month SIM Only Global plan.

How to claim your Qantas Points.

Once you’ve signed up to a Red Global Plan or 12 month SIM Only Global plan, we’ll send you an email with instructions to claim your points. When you’re ready, you can use our online form to claim your Qantas Points.

You have 60 days from the date you upgrade your service to provide your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership details and claim your points.

How many Qantas Points will I earn for upgrading to an eligible plan? 

The number of Qantas Points you’ll earn depends on the plan you sign up to. Signing up to a Red Global Plan or 12 month SIM Only Global plan online will earn you double the included Qantas Points. The double points offer isn’t available on Business Flex plans.

How long will it take for the points to be added to my Qantas Frequent Flyer account?

It will take up to 30 days for your points to be added to your Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards account.

Can I switch from my current plan to a plan with Qantas Points?

To earn Qantas Points, you must upgrade to a new Red Global Plan or 12 month SIM Only Global plan. You’re unable to earn Qantas Points if you switch to an eligible plan during your contract.

If you’re still within your contract period and upgrade to one of these plans, fees may apply.

How do I become a Qantas Frequent Flyer member?

You can visit the Qantas website to sign up as a Qantas Frequent Flyer member.

If you have a business account, you’ll need to join Qantas Business Rewards.

I have received a message that my claim was declined?

Your claim will be declined if:

  • Your Vodafone account isn’t yet active. We’ll send you an email once you’re up and running to claim your points.
  • The details you’ve entered are incorrect. Resubmit your claim with the correct details.
  • The name on your Vodafone account does not match the name on your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. Resubmit your claim with the correct details.
  • The ABN on your Vodafone business account does not match the ABN on your Qantas Business Rewards account. Resubmit your claim with the correct details.
  • Your plan is not eligible for Qantas Points.
  • You’ve already redeemed your Qantas Points.
  • If you’re still having difficulty after retrying, don’t worry. We’ll give you a call to help you with it.

Can I earn points if the Qantas Frequent Flyer membership is not in my name?

No. To earn Qantas Points your Qantas Frequent Flyer account must be registered in the same name as your Vodafone account.
