How to upgrade to a new plan and keep your current device.
If you signed up to a Red Plan with a Mobile Payment Plan after 16 August 2017, you can upgrade your Red Plan through our online upgrades hub.
If you signed up to a 24 month Red plan before 16 August 2017, you can upgrade your Red plan through our online upgrades hub. Fees may apply if you are still in your contract period.
If you’re on a SIM Only plan, you can upgrade to a new 12 month SIM Only plan with your current phone through our online upgrades hub.

When will my new plan begin?
Your new plan will begin immediately once your order is submitted and processed. If there’s a wait for your order, depending on the end date of your bill cycle, your first payment may be due before your device arrives.
Can I upgrade to a new plan when I’m still under contract?
If you signed up to a 24 month Red plan before 16 August 2017, you’re eligible to upgrade however you may be charged an Early Upgrade Fee. The Early Upgrade Fee is based on your remaining monthly plan fees and/or Mobile Payment Plan. If you’re in the last month of your contract, you can upgrade your plan at no cost.
If you’re on a 12 month SIM Only plan, you can upgrade after 3 months to a new SIM Only plan without paying a fee. However the new plan must have a minimum monthly spend of equal or higher value, and the same contract period as your old plan.
Can I move to a plan with a lower minimum monthly spend when I’m still under contract?
If you signed up to a 24 month Red plan before 16 August 2017 and you move to a new plan with a lower minimum monthly spend than your original contract plan, a 'Mid Term Upgrade' fee may appear on your next bill.
Mid Term Upgrade fees are calculated by multiplying the difference in cost of the two plans by the number of months that you have left in your contract. For example, if you originally signed a contract on a $65 plan and you move to a $20 plan, this is how the charge would be calculated if you had 7 months left of your contract.

What differences will I see in my bill after I upgrade to a new plan?
The first bill you receive after upgrading to a new plan will display a charge for the new plan that you’ve moved to for the month ahead.
There will also be a part monthly charge listed as $0.00.
he plan you moved from is also listed with credit from the cancelled plan at $0.00.
When will my insurance premiums begin?
If you’ve purchased insurance for your device, your premiums will begin from the date of your upgrade, not when your order arrives.
Can I still get insurance if I’ve already ordered my device?
Yes. Insurance can be purchased within 30 days of the date of your upgrade. However, if you're waiting more than 30 days to get your device, you can purchase insurance within 14 days of dispatch.
