Help with My Vodafone

Step 1

Log into your account at or through the My Vodafone app (iOS and Android).  

Note: We’ll automatically log you in when you're connected to Vodafone internet. If you're trying to manage add-ons for a different account, try this link instead.

Step 2

Select 'Usage & Add-ons' and then 'Data'.

  • If you’re using the My Vodafone app or your phone’s web browser, tap the menu button MyVF-menu-buttonin the top left or right corner of the page and then tap ‘Usage & Add-ons’
  • If you’re using your computer or tablet’s web browser, you’ll see a ‘Usage & Add-ons’ link in the menu at the top of the page

Step 3

If requested, enter your 4 digit account enquiry PIN.

Step 4

Scroll down the the page to the My Add-ons section, then click the 'Add data' button.

Note: If you’ve previously added extra data to your plan, you’ll need to select the ‘Change or remove add-on’ button in the data section.

Step 5

Follow the prompts to add, update or remove your add-on.

Note: If you're adding or changing your add-on, you’ll receive a TXT when you’re right to start using it.


Questions and answers

How much do Data Add-ons cost?

Go to our Data Add-ons for plans page for pricing info.

If you add a Data Add-on part way through your monthly billing cycle, you’ll be charged the full cost for the add-on, and will have access to the full amount of data to use up until your billing cycle ends.

Are all Data Add-ons available through My Vodafone?

Some of our latest 12 month Data Add-ons aren’t available through My Vodafone at this time. If you’re unable to get the add-on you’re after through My Vodafone, get in touch and we’ll help you add it.

Are Data Add-ons shareable?

Yes. If you’re sharing your data with other services on your account, the Data Add-on will be added to your combined pool of shareable data.

How will I be charged if I cancel my add-on?

You’ll be charged the full cost of the add-on for that month. Your add-on won’t be cancelled until the end of your current bill cycle so you can keep using it until then.

If you’re cancelling a 12 month Data Add-on, an early termination fee may apply.

How will I be charged if I use up all of the add-on?

If you use up all the data in your plan and Data Add-on, the additional data rate of your plan will apply. Check your plan for details.

What happens to data I don’t use?

Unused data expires at the end of your billing cycle and doesn’t roll over.

What happens if I change my add-on part way through the month?

If you change your add-on part way through your bill cycle, you’ll be charged the full cost of both but will have two add-ons to use that month – the old add-on plus your new one. At the end of the bill cycle the old add-on will be removed.

If I go over my plan and then get a Data Add-on, will I still be charged for excess data?

Data Add-ons only apply to data you’ve used after adding them to your plan and won’t absorb any extra data charges incurred beforehand.

How do I find out how much data I've used?

You can check your remaining data at or through the My Vodafone app.

You'll also receive Vodafone Alerts when you use 50%, 85% and 100% of your total monthly data allowance. This includes any data add-ons or bonus data that you might have on your account.

Can I use Data Add-ons with international roaming?

You can use Data Add-ons with $5 Roaming. They won't work when using Pay As You Go Roaming.
